The Jo-Jo’s name originated from a relative named “Joe” that had restaurants in Pennsylvania. In 1970 he decided to relocate to Atlantic City to open a “Jo-Jo’s Pizza” on the Atlantic City boardwalk with one of his cousins, Luigia & Antonino (Ed’s parents). The rest is history! The Jo-Jo’s family was responsible for introducing hand tossed New York style pizza, calzones, and strombolis to the area. Freshly homemade meatballs, large portion pasta dishes i.e. stuffed pasta and parmigiana were also incorporated to their establishments from their Sicilian heritage. All the local Jo-Jo’s Pizzas are related, but operate independently. We continue to strive for great tasting food, quality service and affordability.
